Aquatica Illustria
Spring 2024.
Aquatica Illustria is an set of three illustrations of some of my favorite types of fish. These illustrations were all done in Adobe Illustrator, and were the result of me trying out new techniques with gradients, opacity, and effects.
The featured species are all species that I either want to take photos of in the future (freshwater angelfish and discus), or have already taken photos of (anchovies at Monterey Bay Aquarium).
Based on a photograph I took at the Monterey Bay Aquarium of anchovies in a tank.
Angelfish in various colors. Experimenting with overlapping objects and blur effects for a sense of depth.
Two types of discus. I experimented mostly with gradients and solid shapes in this illustration.
